CPAC-TD Leadership Development Program is designed to help immigrant professionals transition from technical roles into a management positions or bring their leadership skills to the next level if they are already in management position.
The CPAC Leadership Development Program is a unique program, consisting of three important and complementary components:
Step 1: In-class Training -Six Days Intensive Training delivered by a team of leadership training specialists
Step 2: Mentorship– One-on-one mentoring support from senior executives from various sectors/industries for a period of two months after in class training
Step 3: Club Membership - Admitted into CPAC Leadership Club (over 100 members)after graduation from the program.
Class 2017 of the CPAC Leadership Development Program will start on September 16, 2017. Built on the success of the past seven years, the Leadership Program 2017 offers an improved curriculum to serve the diverse needs of established professionals who look for career advancement.
The following topics are the highlights of the Leadership Program 2017:
- Key attributes a good manager needs to have in the Canadian workplace
- Secrets of motivating and influencing your team members and senior management
- Practical tools and techniques for facilitating powerful presentations
- Strategies for managing your team successfully
- Powerful skills to manage workplace conflict
- In-depth analysis and understanding of leadership styles and individual personalities
Program instructors include executive advisors, senior consultants, and senior university professors from well-known consulting/training companies and Canadian educational institutions.
Mentorship is a value-added component of the program. Participants will be matched with mentors from a wide range of industries/sectors, including engineering, finance, IT, consulting, government, etc. They are CEOs, Senior VPs, or Directors who have years of senior management experience and valuable insights in their areas.
Exclusive to the graduates of the program, the CPAC Leadership Club provides a platform for its members to further develop leadership skills, share learning experience and build networks. The club offers a wide range of professional development activities and events throughout the year.
CPAC and TD Bank teamed together to develop the leadership development program seven years ago. This is a unique program designed specifically for established professionals. Since its inception in 2010, the CPAC-TD Leadership Program has helped over 100 graduates successfully move from technical roles into management positions or from junior positions to senior ones.
