French Immersion Teacher, York Region Board of Education
Diana Schwartz is a French immersion teacher from the York Region Board of Education. She has been teaching French and English in both public and private schools in Markham and Richmond Hill. She has also been tutoring in subjects such as Math, English and French. Diana studied languages at the University of Bucharest, Romania, and has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto. She has obtained additional qualifications as a French as A Second Language Specialist for the Primary, Junior and Senior Divisions. Outside of teaching, she is passionate about skiing, travelling, dancing and singing.
Diana will share her experiences as a French immersion teacher and discuss what French immersion is and the advantages of being bilingual, touching on bilingualism and multiculturalism in Canada.
